Symbolic blessing at Villa Antiche Mura Sorrento
Spectacular blessing can be performed in our exclusive villa. This is a non-religious ceremony and It is not legally binding.
The ceremony is held outside on the terrace of the villa overlooking the wonderful sea of Sorrento and the mount Vesuvius.
We can personalize the whole setting following your preference. Each blessing will be unique!
As you can see from the pictures below, you can personalize your ceremony choosing from different chairs options: either white covered chairs or white iron chairs with cushions .
We can prepare a white table with a flower centrepieces on it, that you can use to sign the symbolic certificate and place your rings.
Of course you can add some extra decoration like white carpet or arch of flower or petals.

Regarding the person that will perform the blessing you can either bring your celebrant or we can provide our English speaking celebrant at a little supplement.
Protestant blessing coordinated by a pastor
This type of ceremony is always held outside on the terrace of the villa overlooking the wonderful sea of Sorrento and the mount Vesuvius and is coordinated by a Valdese protestant Pastor. The ceremony will be done in Italian and translated in English at the same time. With the Valdese/Protestant ceremony you will be legally married directly in our Villa!
We will send you all the words of the Valdese ceremony provided by the pastor and we will give you the indication of what you can change. Also for the Valdese ceremony, the set up can be personalized as you wish!
You can choose from different chairs options: either white covered chairs or white iron chairs with cushions. We can prepare a white table with a flower centrepieces that you can use to sign the real certificate and place your rings. Of course you can add some extra decoration like white carpet or arch of flower or petals.
Other Weddings Ceremonies: Hindu Wedding, Persian wedding, etc
At the Villa Antiche Mura many other types of ceremonies have already been celebrated, like Hindu wedding, Persian Wedding, etc.
For these ceremonies, the wedding couples chose our Villa Antiche Mura because it is a perfect spot in order to personalize each single detail of their particular ceremony and because our management is totally flexible in terms of timing and ceremony set up.
In our Villa, the Wedding couples can also use their own celebrant and perform the ceremony following their tradition!
We will follow their detailed instructions to create the perfect setting!
Catholic Ceremony in Churches
For Catholic Ceremony the only place to perform it is the church. The closest Catholic church to Sorrento (and the Villa) is located in Positano and It is called Santa Maria Assunta.
Positano is very well connect to Sorrento either with public transport or with private transfer that we will be pleased to arrange.
We will be also pleased to check for you the availability of the date requested at the church on your behalf.
Sorrento Civil weddings
To have a Civil ceremony in Sorrento you can choose among three different locations:
- The beautiful and ancient “Sorrento Cloister” located in the centre of Sorrento and also quite close to the Villa Antiche Mura (just 3 minutes by Car).
- The more intimate and quieter Museum Correale that has the possibility to perform the ceremony either inside or outside in its garden
- Villa Fiorentino.
There is also a third option where you can perform your civil ceremony.
This place is called Villa Fondi and it is located in a town called Piano di Sorrento which is only 10 minutes distance by car or bus from Sorrento.
This Villa has a beautiful panorama of the bay of Naples and it is located on the cliff.
Wedding Coordination Services for couples who will choose Civil
or Catholic ceremony
For both Catholic and Civil Ceremony, we will be pleased to book the date requested in any of the locations written above (Sorrento Cloister, Museum Correale, Villa Fiorentino, Villa Fondi or Catholic church in Positano).
So at the same time, you will have both locations confirmed: Our Villa Antiche Mura for your wedding reception and also the place for your ceremony!
We will make this ceremony reservation free of charge! At this point, You are free to decide to prepare the paperwork for your ceremony by yourself or you can choose to use our “Coordination service for catholic or civil ceremony”. If you choose us, we will take care of everything.
We will send you all the detailed indications to prepare the proper paperwork in your country and when you arrive in Sorrento everything will be done!
You will only need to go to the place of your ceremony where our assistant will wait for you and say, “Yes, I do!!!”
